Moel Hebog

20°C, Cloudy till later, strong wind on summit.
Moel Lefn: walked into cloud but the route was easy enough to find if you check the compass often enough. There are 3 summits on this ridge walk; the last- the highest, Moel Hebog.
Again, following the compass I headed south towards the descent. This was rather more confusing without land marks. Finally, out of the mist appeared a lake (that was off my map) so we made the descent. Very steep it was, very. We were now on the part of the route that was not in the guide book, but after a long and lumpy slope we got down without much trouble. I took time to lie in the long grass and take photos of Snowdon.
The day had the mark of perfection- I didn’t see a soul until we got back at 18.00
Back to camp after 7 hours.

Rosie loves this campsite, it’s full of wild rabbits.
